There are many thousands of owner-operated entrepreneurial business-to-business companies contributing to the country’s multi-layered economic fabric. There are new start-ups that arrive on the scene every year and modest concerns that are 10, 20, 30 years old and older, all influencing all economic sectors. One local company with three distinct divisions has been a workforce innovator for nearly thirty years and, J-Tech is showing no signs of letting up.

A family of innovators is the apt tagline for J-Tech. The Chester Springs company started out as a family operation and continues as one today but the concept of family has broadened to include a skilled and dedicated workforce that positions J-Tech much differently than the competition. Because employees are treated so well they are involved in, not only day to day operations but the long term success of the organization.

And is J-Tech innovative? What started as a small machine shop in 1993 has strategically matured to serve different markets with unique offerings. As the company grew they identified market needs and innovated responses that grew into profitable divisions including J-Tech Highway Safety, J-Tech Logistics and J-Tech Rebuild– the original machine offering that services parts for the trucking industry.

Not only has the J-Tech family been innovative in growing the business to address market need, like when they rolled out J-Tech Logistics to recycle decommissioned utility trucks, but they are consistently developing new products in a homegrown R&D facility that is nimble and efficient.

J-Tech Highway Safety whose mission is to sell equipment and solutions that keep roadway workers safer offers the most effective line of highway safety equipment and the J-Tech team is constantly working on improving existing products with features that work and introducing new, state-of-the-art innovations. As technology advances so does J-Tech and they can react and service their customers in ways that just aren’t possible for massive companies.

On an impressive work campus near the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange in Exton, PA, the J-Tech parent company sets a standard of excellence for three dynamic divisions necessary for the worlds in which they operate:

The undisputed leader in highway safety, J-Tech Highway Safety manufactures, sells and services rolling equipment to make operations of all sizes safer.

With the most modern and extensive facility of its kind in the United States, J-Tech Rebuild delivers specialized solutions for the liquid bulk transport industry by providing rebuild services for valves and tank cleaning mechanisms.

J-Tech Logistics services the needs of investor-owned and privately-held utility companies by transporting vehicles from customer fleet yards to central auction facilities.

Real drivers of the economy, small companies are top-down organizations and the culture within a locally-owned and operated business is reflective of that leadership. J-Tech is a prime example of ownership that cares about employees, about the product, about customers and about the brand and that caring permeates the company’s entire culture.
