In 2020 our creative director was asked to develop a plan to transform the underutilized Reservoir Park on the Northside of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

Tucked in behind the town’s reservoir, the hidden park was overgrown and relatively unknown to town residents. Loyalists patronized a dog park and a community garden, but it wasn’t until  VFC led the effort to install a challenging 18-hole disc golf course throughout the park that it started to become the asset it is today. Besides creating a popular disc golf destination, the effort included organizing signage and preparing for a future bike park. Well, the future is here!
On June 3, 2023, the official grand opening of Phoenixville’s brand new PXV Bike Park was celebrated in grand fashion with a ribbon cutting and tons of support from community donors and sponsors.

VFC has contributed to the bike park’s fundraising throughout the two-year process, but we’re most proud of the signage we designed.

Creatively designed and expertly installed by the regionally-renowned DirtSculpt LLC, the new bike park is another feather in the cap of the Phoenixville Borough—which also just built a beautiful new Recreation Center across the street from Reservoir Park’s entrance for which VFC designed and installed custom signage as well.

Multiple site visits and meetings with stakeholders and park designers have yielded some very special signage, including a custom map of the full park with dozens of features. Hundreds of individuals and businesses sponsored three different lines of varying skill levels, and VFC developed a plan to showcase all of it in a classy format that blends in with the park’s natural setting.

Old and new residents of Phoenixville are extremely fortunate to have leadership intent on building projects the community can use—especially unique resources not available in most other municipalities.
